EU type-examination certificate.

A document issued by an authorized body conducting EC type examinations, confirming the conformity of the product sample in question with the provisions applicable to it, is called an EU type-examination certificate.

The certificate must be issued to the applicant, the manufacturer or their authorized representative registered in the Community, and must contain the conclusions of the tests, indicate any conditions to which they may be subject, and be accompanied by the necessary descriptions and drawings, as well as the identification of the approved model.

Directive 2006/42/EC, applicable to machinery and mechanisms, requires manufacturers of dangerous machinery listed in ANNEX IV to carry out a conformity assessment. Safe products must bear the CE conformity marking and circulate freely on the EU market; the import of dangerous products is prohibited.

The directive establishes a conformity assessment procedure for manufacturers and rules governing the activities of national authorities responsible for controlling the placing of products on the market.

Depending on the situation, the same machine may be subject to several different rules and standards.

The safety requirements for individual machines do not change when the owner changes within the economic zone.

The requirements for new machines apply to both new and used machines coming from outside the economic zone.

National requirements for used machines may vary from country to country. Some national regulations also apply to machines in service, so the safety requirements for a machine may be stricter than when it was first put into service. Technical developments (the current state of the art) also provide opportunities to improve the safety of individual machines in service.

Machines that comply with harmonized European standards are considered to meet the essential health and safety requirements laid down by law.

However, for certain types of equipment with a higher risk factor, a more stringent certification procedure is desirable.

Our company has contracts with laboratories for testing and ensuring compliance with requirements for mechanical engineering products in both mandatory and voluntary areas.

By contacting our accredited body with a request for the assessment of mechanical engineering products, we guarantee that this work will be carried out correctly and on time.
